Snow and Van Dusen Gardens

We took a few shots of Maidson plowing through the snow we had recently, she got a little sled and she liked just sitting there unable to move because of her huge jacket. A week ago we went to the Van Dusen gardens for the festival of lights, there was a ton of lights and madison had some company as we went with our cousin and her two kids. Now we are getting ready for Christmas and all the get togethers before hand so it wil be an exciting few weeks.

Madison turns 1

Madison turned one yesterday and today we had a little celebration with our families. She stuffed some cake in her face ( she was a little hesitant at first as if she knew it was something she wasn't aloud to do, but it didn't take long until the realization set in) and enjoyed herself, but who wouldnt when you get spoiled. heres a few photos

These last two are just cute. Madison doesn't want to play in here little bathtub anymore.
Well, thats our update, hopefully that will last for a couple more months!!!

May Long Weekend

This weekend we travelled to Invermere, B.C. to visit some friends, skylar and Karen. The trip started out great until we hit revelstoke just outside we were stuck for two hours behind a mudslide, my thinking is there should be porta-toilets out when this happens because if there is no trees and no place to hide where do you go, on a second note do not ever drink out of my nalgene bottle. Madison was a dream this weekend she stayed in her seat for the long stretches, never complained, even on the way home after she pooped through her diaper and into her pants she still managed to make it home without much complaint, she also seemed to change alot this weekend her smile was widened and seemed to be constantly visible, theo is to blame for this (skylar and karens first born) he had the ability to drive her wild and she loves watching video of him, she gos nuts. So we had a great weekend and ate way too much, angelika is still trying to convince me that karen doesnt cook like that all the time, i think im getting shafted. The drive home was safe and we got through no problem only a 20 minute wait. And dont forget if you need walls for your townhome or condo project rely on Dusk Wall Systems.

Madison got a pair of sunglasses today and she really likes them, now we can all look cool together. Had a flat tire this week in the morning before i left for work so that sucked and of course it was raining that morning. Then i ripped part of the car bumper off trying to park, i never usually listen to parking attendants but this time i did and the spot i went into there was something hidden in the grass and when i backed up the bumper ripped off on one side. so bad week for vehicles but on the good side we finally bought a BBQ and its a weber, i have used it 6 of the last 8 days so now is the time for BBQ season and our deck is open for business.

Landscaping

Madisons Pismo beach shirt from our California Trip this summer. Still too big, but cute
I had to buy this as it was half price. Isn't it adorable? Gotta keep my daughter well dressed.
This shirt was bought by Auntie Gabi. She is at her teething stage, so she is drooling all the time. I go through at least three bibs a day
This pics just cute so i added it :)

Wow, what a week. Dad and I spent the week cutting the bushes at the side of our property and the hedge in the front yard, blocking us from the road. The bushes on the side of the house were taking up about five feet of our property and they don't even belong to us. So those are gone. Then we tackled the front hedge which was also about five feet wide and higher than i stand. Maybe six to seven feet. (Maybe more) Anyways, so we chopped down the branches and left the stumps. But man, what a job. I have been so beat tired these last three nights, its crazy. i could have gone to bed at 8 o'clock if i wanted to. So today Jake and i tore out the stump's. Jake took out about ten, while i only got three big ones and two tiny ones. Hey, at least i tried right? And anyways i worked on them all week already.

So the pictures aren't working out in the dark so i'll have to post those tomorrow. but if i don't write tonight, we won't be writing at all. So... Later

Into the New Year

Well, this is Madison with our neighbor/oma(from mom and dad langes house) She is one hundred years older than Madison, so I thought it would be a cool picture to keep for Madison, since they are basically family to us and not many people make it to that age in life.

Jacob, once again, was our entertainment on Christmas day. He doesn't seem to fail.
Madison in a dress that has been through my moms side of the family. All the female cousins and they're children, my sisters and I and now Madison.
Well, its amazing how time flys by and how big Madison is. It amazes me how quickly she is growing. Everyone has always said 'they grow so quickly, treasure the time you have' (Roger, i thought of you when i just wrote that.) We have treasured the time, but she's still growing up too quickly. I weighed Madison again today and she is now 12pounds 2 ounces. So almost double her birth weight. She is trying to talk to us for the last few weeks and is developing strengthwise and in her alertness to the things around her. She might also be teething as she has alot of drool and puts her fists in her mouth all the time. (Jenn and Aarons little one, Katie, I believe did the same thing before two teeth came out) So even though it seems early, I think our girl is catching up to all the other 12 kids that preceded her this year in our church.
Other than that, our house is coming together the upstairs is all basically done, except for pictures that need to be put up and a touch up paint job i've been procrastinating on of the floor boards. Jake still needs to clean up his basement and then we can start working on all the landscaping changes we have planned. Since the weather is nicer, one of these weekends im gonna make sure we tear out a couple of trees out that are blocking our entrance. Thats the fun part. Replanting them, someone else can do. Anyways, that was just a quick catch up for those people that have been noticing our delay in writing, so now that i've figured this thing out, i won't always leave it in jakes hands. I'll be the one adding pictures, even if i don't write anything.
