Yesterday we finally got around to cutting down the stupid hedges on our property, Angelika wants to put a garden in and i want a fence cause ugly shrubs arent cutting it. I started the day at 8:30 and used an axe, very indiana jones style, and went to town on the shrubs. After about an hour and a half i had removed about a 1/4 of the shrubs and left the stumps, then my dad showed up with a chainsaw and within 10 minutes every shrub was cut and i was dragging them into our yard, i posted the before and after pictures, you can see in the first picture how far the shrubs originally came out when we moved in, my father in-law cut those out of the way last year using a grinder with a saw blade, he managed to only cut the cord on his grinder once and thats it, i still think he is crazy. The second picture is of course after and you can already see how much more light is shining into the yard.

These are Madison's giant blow up boxing gloves, she quite enjoyed running around the house with them on. Madison has also learned to say hockey, or a very poor version of hockey, but makes me proud nonetheless and she sat with me during a penalty shot and cheered (naslund missed but she cheered anyway).
Angelika started to decorate madisons room with her sister michelle, its starting to look pretty sweet. We also had brad and colleen over last night and played some ticket to ride, this is the second time in two weeks that i have failed horribly in this game and will have to resort to cheating.

February is near its end and seems the winter weather and hopefully the week upon weeks of rain. The sunshine changes the way you think and act, your suddenly very interested in how your garden looks or or your grass or any area where the sun is shining, i realize this because the side of my house covered in shade looks like crap, but i dont go there so it doesnt bother me. Madison is in love with the outside, she hates tv unless it involves closing the doors during a hockey game and loves the outdoors and freedom, i figure this is good and once she can hold a hockey stick i am golden. My Sister(JO) has come and gone for a week long visit which was quite fun, she might be smarter than me but by threatening to beat her up i keep the upper hand. My other sister(Ali) is working at the airport which is pretty much a dream come true and is looking forward to a full time job there. Life at home is a blast and it pretty much has been ever since madison was born, not to say we didnt have fun before but this is just mint. Madison is into shoes, she will put them on try to walk around in them, get cranky when she cant get her own on and helps bring my work boots to me in the morning. She is learning more words and i taught her KING KONG, so when i ask she will come up and pound my chest, cause i am king kong, she even does a slight grunt, not tim the toolman tailor quality but getting there. Pictures are not loading so i will try again later. Hope everyone is doing well. Go Canucks.

Moustache

Madison came down with an ear infection this week but is doing well and is on medication. She continues to try to talk and likes to say banana, bottle, and of course boob. that might be my fault. Madison continues to play with her cardboard house and a little piece fell of and she put it on her face and it stuck, the pictures are pretty funny. Also she got a new touque from one of the ladies at her work and she looks good, Angelika also got one. Lately we have bin attending a new church called westside and really enjoy it, but the last few weeks we were at bethany again and we still arent sure what to do, we lack a connection in bethany with people our age but it still feels like home and for madison it is nice. So theres an update thats two in one month, so we will keep you posted if anything else happens.

February, where do the months go ?

It is february 10 and our last post was in december, time seems to slip by so quickly now. Madison is a mere 15 months and has already grow past the baby stage and is turning into a child, she loves to run outside and touch everything and loves to play with other kids, although she hasn't realized how to play with kids her own age as i witnessed in sunday school. Some may say this a result of my constant play fighting and generally bugging the crap out of her. I say it is because she isn't wimpy and just wants someone who is as "sturdy" as her to play with. I think Joel breedveld would be good company (for those who know him). Angelika is back at work and so am i, so Madison gets to stay with our in-laws during the week, which we are quite thankfull for. We are going to Renovate our basement and put a bathroom downstairs, so we started ripping stuff out and are looking forward to a second bathroom. Thats all for now we will attempt to keep posting regularly, but dont get your hopes up. The pictures are madison in some snow gear and rain gear, Drinking some starbucks while waiting to see the new ferry, and her new little house which we made and she likes to play in, pretty sure if we ever buy a new fridge she will go nuts over the size of the box
